is now the leading cause of visual impairment in children with neurological and developmental conditions, yet it often remains misunderstood or overlooked.

When functional vision is not accurately understood, children may be expected to use vision in ways that are not accessible to them, affecting learning, therapy outcomes, and daily participation. 

Many of the children you already support are affected by CVI. This training equips professionals working with children with special needs to recognize CVI, understand how it impacts functional vision, and apply practical, evidence-based strategies that enhance assessment, intervention, and family support across everyday environments.
