About the Course
This specialized CVI Training is designed for professionals working with children with complex neurodevelopmental profiles. Endorsed by Dr Roman-Lantzy and grounded in Dr Christine Roman-Lantzy’s CVI Range and intervention framework, this course equips participants to recognize and understand Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) and apply phase-appropriate strategies to enhance therapy outcomes and family support. What you will learn Understand how functional vision develops and is affected in children with CVI Recognize behavioral indicators of CVI in therapy and daily routines Apply phase-appropriate strategies to improve participation, motor planning, postural control, sensory processing, and functional engagement How it works 7-week facilitated online course with scheduled start dates Recorded content delivered in three chapters Live Zoom Q&A sessions after each chapter (attendance optional; recordings provided) Full access to all materials and recordings for 6 months from the course start date Downloadable training notes, certificate of completion, CPD points for South African participants Start dates 2026: Group 1: 2 March – 17 April 2026 Group 2: 22 June – 7 August 2026
Meet Your Instructors
Antoinette Harvie Antoinette is an ABM NeuroMovement® Practitioner and CVI Specialist with advanced training from the Perkins School for the Blind and Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy. Inspired by her own son’s CVI journey, she blends personal insight with professional expertise to equip practitioners with practical tools for assessing and supporting children with Cortical Visual Impairment. Terry Sundstrom Terry is an experienced ABM NeuroMovement® Practitioner and the mother of a daughter with CVI. She has completed specialized training with Dr. Christine Roman-Lantzy and brings both personal insight and professional expertise to her work. Terry is passionate about helping practitioners understand and apply vision-supportive strategies for children with Cortical Visual Impairment.

Training Cancellation Policy
Course Cancellation & Refund Policy This course is delivered as a cohort-based online (group-paced) programme, meaning all participants start and progress together. It includes pre-recorded learning materials, scheduled content release, and live Zoom discussion and Q&A sessions. By enrolling, participants commit to a 7-week facilitated learning experience with access to course materials for 6 months from the official course start date. 1. Cooling-off period (before course start) Participants may request a full refund if cancellation is received at least 14 days before the official course start date. All refund requests must be made in writing via email. ([email protected]) 2. Cancellations close to the start date Cancellations received less than 14 days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund, as planning, scheduling, and access preparation will already be in place. 3. After the course has started No refunds will be issued once: - The course has started OR - Any course content has been released OR - Access to the learning platform has been granted (whichever occurs first). This applies regardless of: - Attendance at live Zoom sessions - Personal scheduling conflicts - Partial participation or non-attendance 4. Live Zoom sessions The course includes three live Zoom discussion and Q&A sessions, scheduled approximately every 1.5 weeks. Attendance at live sessions is encouraged but not mandatory. Participants who cannot attend live will have access to session recordings via the course platform. Non-attendance at live sessions does not constitute grounds for a refund. 5. Access to course materials All participants will retain access to: - Course videos - Supporting materials - Zoom call recordings for a period of 6 months from the course start date. Loss of access after this period does not qualify for a refund. 6. Transfers & substitutions Registrations are non-transferable to another person. Requests to defer participation to a future intake may be considered at the sole discretion of the course provider, subject to availability and administrative fees. 7. Course changes The course provider reserves the right to: - Adjust live session dates if necessary (participants will be notified in advance) - Update course content to improve learning outcomes Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
